I'm glad to announce that I am finally ready to offer a set of Goddess Archetype flower essences. For three years I have been working on combinations of flower essences to embody particular Goddess archetypes. These essences are wonderful for anyone who wishes to support and/or develop certain attributes within themselves. We pass through many evolutions during our spiral of life and along the way there is room for different archetypes to be uppermost within us. Sometimes the shift into another way of being comes naturally and then there are times when we wish help bringing in or strengthening certain facets of our being. I was inspired by the work of Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D. whose book "Goddesses in Everywoman" is subtitled "A New Psychology of Women". I highly recommend her book for help in understanding one's self even to the point of what one's relationship patterns are, it is quite uncanny.

Athena is the beautiful, stately warrior Goddess who is known for her ability to come up with brilliant strategies and logical solutions. She is the woman who is ruled by her head instead of her heart. She is pragmatic and realistic in her view of life. Use this essence when you need to stay centered to assess a situation and make a plan. (Cosmos, Dill, Dogwood, Female Nettle, Ground Ivy, Rose "Bonica", Rosemary, Shasta Daisy)

Aphrodite is the Goddess of love and embodies the alchemical power of love. She only loved where the feeling was mutual. She valued her emotional connections with others. She is the creative energy. Call upon her energy when you start a new project, have a vision that you wish to follow. Her energy is focused and yet receptive to input from many sources. Use this essence to bring a spark of excitement and passionate creativity to a project. Aphrodite also is about sensuality and sexuality, and the ability to be both creative and procreative. (Clary Sage, Crested Iris, Evening Primrose, Lady's Slipper, Queen of the Prairie, Snow Queen Iris)

Artemis is the Goddess of the hunt and moon. She is the independent female spirit, intact within herself. She personifies self-confidence, one who seeks her own goals on terrain of her own choice. Use this essence to support standing tall within your power as you meet your challenge self-sufficiently. (Blackberry, Black Cohosh, Clary Sage, Mugwort, Pink Yarrow, Rosemary, Wild Ginger)

Demeter is the Goddess of grain. She is the maternal one, the one to whom we pray for nourishment and nurturing or for when we wish to strengthen our ability to be a nurturing, compassionate, unconditionally loving mother. We invoke her when we seek to move through our day with more grace and patience. Use this essence for these times and also to call upon Demeter for fruitfulness in your endeavors. (Catmint, Cerastium, Lady's Mantle, Pear, Peony-Red and Gold, Trillium, Twelve Roses, Viburnum)

Hestia is the Goddess of the hearth. She has an inner presence and is not attached to people, outcomes, or power. She lives in a centered state of grace, having seen much in life she holds a deep wisdom within. She creates beauty and welcome in her home. Use this when you are wanting stillness or patience, wanting to live calmly within your truth. (Angelica, Angel's Trumpet, California Poppy, Echinacea, Golden Rod, Golden Yarrow, Delphinium)
